Abstract State is an independent magazine dedicated to contemporary art, international perspectives, and the artists defining our cultural moment.

We publish in-depth interviews, critical writing, and visual essays that refuse easy categorization. Our contributors are artists, curators, writers, and thinkers working at the edges of established practice.

Each issue is built around a loose theme — not a strict brief, but a shared frequency. We are interested in process as much as product, in the conditions that make work possible.
